MISSION

 

This position will manage the sales activities with the aim to be a preferred supplier of products to our industry.  This position will work closely with the others to create innovative programs and will be responsible for the development and achievement of annual sales goals, in concert with Corporate and Division goals, production competencies and objectives.

 

KEY TASKS

 

  • Nurture / manage strong business partnerships with key customers in the baked goods industry, to ensure existing business and create new business.

  • Develop new relationships with baking industry leaders to recognize future sales opportunities and promote company to be a preferred supplier.  Requires up to 25% travel.

  • Work closely with R & D to improve or develop products needed for sales.  Provide input on all existing and new product ranges to reach annual goals.

  • Participate actively in the preparation of the annual sales budget and work within its limits.

  • Stay abreast of key competitive activity and product pricing.

  • Prepare analysis of sales results and explain major differences vs. annual budget and prior year on a monthly basis.  Suggest corrective actions and help implement these actions.

  • Other special projects, tasks as assigned.
